Donna Mosier, CNM

Donna has been in New Mexico for over 20 years. Prior to joining WSNM, she attended homebirths in Albuquerque for about 10 years. She is the single mom of teenage daughter who recently left for college in Washington State. In her free time, Donna likes to ski, hike, camp, ride horses and other outdoor activities. Among her favorite vacation spots are the beaches of Mexico, and while she’s there she loves to practice yoga on the beach.

Special Interests: As a midwife for over twenty years, Donna has worked in a variety of delivery settings. She helps empower women by encouraging their involvement in individual healthcare decisions. She likes to integrate alternative holistic approaches with traditional care and has a special interest in working with teenagers.

Donna Walker, CNP

Donna's roots are in the Midwest. Her interests are family and anything outdoors. Donna's practice emphasis is on exercise, nutrition and stress management---helping to empower women to take charge of their health.

Certification: NCC Certified as Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, 1975
Special Interests: Donna likes her patients to take charge of their own health. She is a real advocate of exercise, dietary discretion, and positive health habits and choices. Donna especially enjoys working with the adolescent age group.

Eunice Baca, CNM

Eunice is a native New Mexican and completed both undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of New Mexico. She is proud to live with, and serve the women of New Mexico and ever so proud to provide gynecology services through Women’s Specialists of New Mexico. There is no better job in the world than one that allows her to assist and empower women of all ages. She has always said her job is like "visiting with my girlfriends all day". Away from work she spends time with her husband Manuel and their three children, and they enjoy relaxing and visiting with all of their family and friends.

Special Interests: Eunice’s calling to midwifery originated with her desire to care for women during their pregnancy and birth. Along this journey she discovered the joy in providing healthcare throughout all aspects of women’s lives. In her practice she hopes to empower all women, from adolescent through post-menopausal, in achieving their highest state of health and well-being.

Jeanne Phillips, CNP

Jeanne has spent her entire medical career working with women to meet their health care needs. All women deserve a voice in their health care; and to have their concerns acknowledged and addressed in an empathetic, compassionate and knowledgeable manner. She feels so lucky to have found such profoundly satisfying work and to have the opportunity to meet so many wonderful women.

Certification: NCC Certified as Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, 1994
Special Interests: As an RN since 1977 and a Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner since 1994, Jeanne has been caring for women for over 35 years. Her interests have evolved as she has aged and she works closely with women to navigate midlife issues with an emphasis on hormonal management. She has recently expanded her practice to include addressing medical treatment for libido issues.

Kate Reilly, CNP

Downtown Office

Kate is originally from the midwest, but is quickly adapting to love the mild winters and green chile on everything here in New Mexico! She loves to travel and spend time with family and friends as well as her two little dogs.

Certification: NCC certified in New Mexico as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, 2010
Special Interests: Kate’s interest in Women’s Health has been lifelong and is thrilled to talk to patients about a variety of topics including contraception, irregular bleeding,and general health maintenance. She also evaluates patients for incontinence and pelvic floor prolapse issues and performs urodynamics testing. Kate is also working towards a degree to become an RNFA or nurse first assistant in surgery. She has a background as a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) while working as an emergency department nurse and was a labor and delivery nurse for several years as well. Women are so quick to put their own needs last, Kate encourages women to take care of themselves so they are better able to take care of their families and enjoy their lives to the fullest.

Kim Prairie, CNM

Kim grew up in Pasadena, Calif., and lived in Switzerland before settling with her family in Albuquerque in 1990. She worked as an R.N. in women's health for 15 years before becoming a midwife, and feels honored to be part of the lives of the women she treats. Kim has two teenage sons and loves to travel, ski, golf and do any outdoor activity.

Special Interests: Kim focuses on listening to women and helping them create an individual plan of care to keep their entire family healthy. She trusts that women are the true experts regarding their own health, and her job is to simply help facilitate that.

Mary Clare Galarza, RN

Downtown Office

Born and raised in St. Louis Mo, and has had the opportunity to live and work in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Ohio, Oklahoma, Virginia, before landing in New Mexico. She happy to have stopped living the vagabond lifestyle and settled down and call New Mexico home. When not at work she spends her time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Her interest includes running, hiking, cycling, cooking, skiing, traveling and just relaxing while watching a movie.

Certification: National Council of State Board of Nursing, 1985
Special Interests: Mary Clare has spent the majority of her nursing career in maternal health. She has being a part of the transformation that occurs when someone come in for a cosmetic procedure. The transformation is not just physical, but a sense of self worth and confidence that come upon them when they look in the mirror.

Nancy Miller, CNM

Downtown Office

Nancy has been a nurse-midwife since 1982 and has been with WSNM since 1998. She became a nurse soon after high school and has always believed that midwives create a difference in the birth environment wherever they are. Along with her husband Bob, Nancy has two teenage sons, Wally and Sam. She enjoys cooking and entertaining. Along with her family, Nancy is involved with her church where she likes working with the youth groups and parish nursing programs.

Certification: American Midwifery Certification Board, 1981
Special Interests: Nancy has worked as a certified nurse-midwife in several clinical settings since 1982. She believes in offering women and families feedback and information so they can make informed choices through all phases of their healthcare. It's a special joy for Nancy to be part of a woman's pregnancy and birth.

Because your body’s blood volume increases to support your growing baby, it is important that you drink extra fluids during your entire pregnancy. Your goal should be to drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water, juice or milk each day.
