Prepared Childbirth Class
This is a four-week series or a one-day Saturday class. These classes cover labor, vaginal and cesarean delivery, medical intervention, pain medication option, comfort and breathing techniques, the special role of your support person and post partum mom, baby and family. It is best to complete this class at least three to four weeks before your due date. A tour of Presbyterian Hospital is included.
Childbirth Refresher Class
Have you been there, and done that? Refresher classes are offered to those families that have been through childbirth before and just need one or two classes to “refresh” them. (Classes are one-on-one)
Infant Feeding Class
This class teaches you to breastfeeding basics. Included in this class are nutritional, physical, and emotional benefits to mom, baby and family and how to return to work and continue to breastfeed successfully. Class information will also address bottle-feeding and how to combine bottle-feeding and breastfeeding. (Support people are always welcome to attend)
Registration
Class size is limited so please be sure to register at least two to three months in advance of the start date. To register, complete the registration form, include your check or credit card number and return either by mail or hand deliver to any of the receptionists at any of WSNM offices. If you are unable to enclose full payment at this time, please call 843-6168 extension 3015 to make arrangements. If you need to cancel or reschedule you must call 24 hours in advance to avoid a $50 no show/cancellation fee. On rare occasions we may need to cancel or reschedule classes, you will be contacted as soon as possible.
